Huis Beaucarne was listed as a historical landmark in 1976. This was propagated by the occupants at the time, Baroness Marie Fredericq-Lilar (1934 - 2022) and her husband, Baron Jaques Fredericq (1926-1996). Their grandson, Julien Fornari, together with his fiancée Lena Vastesaeger, founded the non-profit organization Huis Beaucarne in 2018. 

The aim of the non-profit organization is to preserve the family home and its remarkable history and to finance the necessary restoration works in order to offer a future to this important historical heritage and to safeguard its survival.
